QUARTERBACK
Matt Moore vs. Tampa Bay
If you have DeAngelo Williams or Jonathan Stewart, you must love this matchup. The Buccaneers have allowed an average of 156.75 yards per game on the ground. Matt Moore is getting his first start this year and the Bucs have allowed 24 passing touchdowns. The Panthers should easily run the ball, taking a load off Moore but still have the opportunity to throw the ball in the end zone.
RUNNING BACK
Jerious Norwood vs. Philadelphia
Matt Ryan is definitely out and reports say that Michael Turner will be joining him on the sideline. If Turner is out, Norwood will get the start over Snelling. His ability to both catch and run the ball will be key if the Falcons want to move down field against the stingy Eagles defense. The Falcons are barely holding on their playoff hopes and cannot afford a loss.
Justin Forsett vs. San Francisco
I am sticking with Forsett even though Julius Jones is supposedly coming back. He will share carries but the Seahawks are a passing team. The 49ers are 1-4 on the road and the passing defense ranks near the bottom. Forsett might not maintain the same numbers during his current hot streak, but he is not clearly out of the picture this Sunday.
WIDE RECEIVER
Jason Avant at Atlanta
His production has improved over the past four weeks and the possibility of DeSean Jackson being inactive. Either way, more targets lead to more points, you gotta take a chance with him.
Johnny Knox vs. St. Louis
He hasn’t panned out to much of a sleeper this year (can’t blame him with Cutler behind center). He had one reception for a touchdown last week and he faces the Rams in the Windy City which is an advantage for all offensive players on the Bears.
Pierre Garcon vs. Tennessee
The Titans passing defense has been exceptional since returning from the bye week. However, don’t expect the same trend to continue against the Colts. Garcon has established his presence on the field and solidified his spot as the number two receiver. He is a solid choice for this week.
TIGHT END
Dante Rosario vs. Tampa Bay
As stated before, the Panthers should easily move the ball down field with Williams and Stewart. Rosario has been a comfortable target for Delhomme and should be the same for Moore. He can get some attention when the Panthers get in the red zone.
DEFENSE
San Diego at Cleveland
There is much really to say besides the Chargers allowing only 17 points the pass two weeks and, well, they’re playing the Browns. That should be enough.
KICKER
Jay Feely at Buffalo
Who knows how Sanchez will perform in Toronto? Jim Kelley believes that California QBs should stay out of Canada and he could be right. The Bills defense is nothing great and the Jets should manage more than a few opportunities to get within field goal range.
