Matt Moore vs. New Orleans The Saints will be playing the second squad and Moore is on a hot streak with two straight weeks of three touchdowns. It hurts that Steve Smith will be out this week with a broken arm and he was Moore’s biggest target but is coming around as a solid starter.
Alex Smith at St. Louis If you don’t like Moore, Smith is a safe choice. He hasn’t put up the big numbers as we hope but he should easily get points this week.
RUNNING BACK
Justin Forsett vs. Tennessee
The Titans defense is depleted and Forsett will take advantage of it fully. He hasn’t scored a touchdown in three weeks but this week can change that.
Brandon Jackson at Arizona Ryan Grant will get some time to rest for the playoffs so Jackson will get most of the carries. He had three touchdowns last week (2 rushing and 1 receiving) shows greats signs of versatility and the Cardinals aren’t the best against the rush either.
WIDE RECEIVER
Devin Aromashodu and Earl Bennett at Detroit
The Bears passing game is in full swing (finally) but it is too little too late for the season and for Lovie Smith. Earl Bennett got a touchdown last week, kick return the week before, plus he’s going up against the depressing Lions. Aromashodu (try to spell that) is thriving without Hester in the lineup with 150 yards and a touchdown. Give them a go, especially if Hester is out again.
TIGHT END
Todd Heap at Oakland Four touchdowns in two weeks, playing the Raiders, and playing in a game to play. I don’t know what else to say.
DEFENSE
Atlanta at Tampa Bay
They don’t have to go to the cold, they have been dominating terrible offenses (Buffalo and NY Jets), and Josh Freeman has thrown the most interceptions in the past five weeks. This is a safe pick up this week.
